But the best experience of all is the the extraterrestrial scenery and views of the Moab Desert. This landscape is breathtaking and unique. If you’re looking for adventure while in Moab, you need to ride a UTV.

We had explored Palisade & Grand Junction, Colorado for a wedding, and then ventured in car to Moab, Utah. It took around 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Moab. We went straight to the UTV place to rent our vehicles. We went to the Epic 4x4 Adventure. It took a while to register, fill out waivers, and the driver get a quick driving lesson. They also show you how the vehicle works.

My boyfriend drove and I got to be the UTV passenger princess. These vehicles have navigation, but the trails also have arrows and signs as you ride to insure you don’t get lost. The routes are preloaded in the UTV. The route we chose was the Fins & Things. Let me tell you it didn’t dissappoint. We rode the Moab Desert for around 3 hours. We went up 70 degree inclines, saw picturesque views, and got mud slung on us. Be sure to wear your helmet, buckle up, and keep your belongings in a safe bag.

It cost $10 to enter the Sand Flats Recreation Area. This experience is hands down worth it and a must when visiting Moab. This scenery is like stepping into a different planet. There is endless trails, towering rock formations, and jaw dropping views at every turn and as far as the eye can see. This was us coming once the hill that my friend took of us. We are the second UTV from the left.

The moment the engine roars and the tires grip the trail, your adrenaline begins to surge through your body immediately. This UTV handles the trails like a beast. It climbs rocks, crawls over rocky terrain, and glides across narrow ridge lines. I had never experienced a trail or ride like this before. I love how it was silent except the engine of the UTV. It feels as though you are going to get lost, but of course you can’t.

This wide open sky makes you feel both small and limitless. I had a smile on my face the whole time. I never knew what was next on the path. It’s a total rush with equal parts adventure and awe.
If you’re into off reading and immaculate views, then you have to UTV in Moab. It doesn’t just challenge your skills, this leaves a permanent impression on your soul. These views will be engrained in your head well after the ride.
We got caught in a hail storm on the ride and this is very rare. But it was surreal seeing the rain wash over the massive rocks. We luckily made it back safely. It made the mud a little more fun on the ride back to return the vehicle.
