Apple Picking in Georgia

If you are looking for a fall activity in Georgia you must visit B.J Reece Orchard and pick your own apples. They call it U-Pick. 🍏🍎

This orchard is located in Ellijay, Georgia. They have a plethora of apples to choose from. The aisles are numbered and labeled with the type of apples you can choose from.

U-Pick Orchards are open 7 days a week beginning late August and ends at the end of October. The orchard sits on vast land with astounding views.

There were many other orchards in Ellijay to visit, but we chose this one according to the wonderful reviews.

You can choose the size of sack you want to put your apples in. Pricing For U-Pick varies depending on what size bag you purchase for picking (1/2 peck, 1 peck, 1/2 bushel).

I chose the 1/2 peck for $10 and it was the smallest and fit plenty of apples that I picked. You also have to pay a $13 admission fee. You can get as many apples as you can fit in your sack.

They have much more activities, farm animals, slides, and other fun for kids and families. I just chose to go pick apples while I was there.

There are many wineries located in the area too that you can check out while you are over near Ellijay.

The orchard has a store where you can buy many different apple products, local grown Georgia fruit, bagged apples, snacks, clothing, and restrooms before you go and pick your own apples.

Across the street they have Reece’s Cider Co where you can get a cider flight. You can choose which 5 of the ciders you’d like to try for $15.
