A Day in New Hampshire

-Rye, New Hampshire

-Portsmouth, New Hampshire

-Ordiorne Point State Park

We did a New Hampshire Day Trip from Salem, Massachusetts.

We decided to check off another state and venture 48 minutes from Salem, Massachusetts to New Hampshire for the rest of our last day there.

We drove to Rye first and went to the Odiorne Point State Park. It was on the coast and you can see the black and gray rocks with waves crashing on them from the Atlantic Ocean. It was $4 a person to enter the State Park. It was worth every dollar.

We then drove 8 minutes into Portsmouth, Massachusetts. This is a quaint town. We went to the Prescott Park to view the WWI Memorial Bridge and see the Portsmouth Love Lock Wall.

We then went to stroll downtown at Market Square. Their town was decorated all out for Halloween festivities.

We shopped at the many different shops. We chose to eat at the Portsmouth Brewery downtown.

We didn’t know until we got there that there was a Halloween parade at night at 7. All I can say is wow! This town goes all out for this event. It was a Halloween Parade worth the whole last minute trip to New Hampshire.

I would recommend this coastal town for a day. It is clean and the people are genuine and friendly. The views and vibes won’t disappoint you either.
