The Columbia Restaurant was founded in 1905 by a Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez. The Columbia Restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world. It is located in Tampa’s Ybor City.
We made reservations ahead of the trip on Open Table. The architecture of the restaurant has a Spanish style and is very unique and has intricate details.
We made sure to order every course in this restaurant so we got the whole experience. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. The waiters were so polite and the atmosphere was upscale and elegant. This is a must do while in Tampa.
There was also a little dancing show that went on while we ate dinner there. A group of women danced in modern Spanish attire and put on a show while you dine in the elegant atmosphere.
