Nashville, Tennessee

It's a crazy town full of neon dreams,

Everybody plays everybody sings,

Hollywood with a touch of twang!

Food

1. Biscuit Love

This is the best southern comfort breakfast. It is a smaller restaurant but it is worth the wait. You need to get in a line a little earlier but the line moves fast.

Over by Biscuit Love there are a few must see murals that you can walk to right beside the restaurant. This is located in the Gulch. This is a neighborhood in Nashville.

The famous angel wings and the colored wall!

2. The Ainsworth

This brunch spot is hip. This brunch place is a hipster millennial vibe. They have a DJ playing for brunch and it is a hip/upbeat spot. If you want to chat more this spot may be a little louder for you. It is so fun and definitely a Nashville must. I had the chicken and waffles and they were delicious.

3. The Hampton Social

This is an upscale swanky brunch spot. You have to make reservations in advance. It is an instagram dream. The food was to die for also at this quaint little restaurant. This is by far my favorite brunch spot because of the atmosphere and vibe of the place.

4. Five Daughters Bakery

This is a donut heaven. They have 100 layer donuts and you have many flavors to choose from. I chose the mini 100 layer chocolate flavored donut.

5. No Baked Cookie Dough

Oh My Gosh is all I can say. This place has the best cookie dough hands down! It is a bright pink building and they have made it an instagram paradise inside. This is a great place to stop for some desert.

Rooftop Bars/Restaurants

• The 404 Kitchen

• Rare Bird

• L.A. Jackson

Refer to my blog post for more information about each rooftop experience:

Broadway Street

•FGL House

•Honky Tonk Central

•Wild Horse Saloon

This is Music City row and neon paradise. There are so many bars you can go in and out of on Broadway. It is always packed downtown. Many of the country stars have bars here like Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line. These bars are multiple stories so there is a band or DJ playing different types of music on each level. Florida Georgia Line is one of my favorite bars. It has rap music on the bottom, live bands in the middle and the Cruise bar on the top is a dance party with throwback music.

If you are looking for a more southern honky tonk bar with live music Honky Tonk Central is a fun bar for that. You will see 100000 bachelorette parties on Broadway also.

A street over is a bar called Wild Horse Saloon. You can eat in the bar/restaurant. The whole family will love this one. There is a huge dance floor where they teach line dances to the country songs.

We then ventured out and got real down and southern where it’s more of the Gretchen Wilson leaving your Christmas lights up type of bar. This is the Christmas bar. It is called Santa’s Pub. It’s a little farther out in Nashville but it’s so neat to experience. It is a trailer fixed up like Christmas and you can karaoke in the bar. It’s definitely an experience. It may seem sketchy on the outside, but on the inside it’s a fun experience.

If you are looking for more of a 30 year old vibe that has a little class and southern sass then Demonbreun Street is your place. This is a little street with some dive bars that show football games and more of a young adult workers vibe. The bars are fun and have good DJs.

Nashville has an array of bars and music for people of all ages and genres.

If you own a pair of cowboy boots this is the perfect time to wear them. If you don’t well there are multiple boot places on Broadway to visit.

Omni Hotel

I loved staying downtown at the Omni Hotel when I went. It was about two blocks from downtown Broadway. We walked downtown and didn’t even have to worry about transportation. It also had an amazing rooftop pool that had an amazing view of the city.

Gaylord Opryland Hotel

This hotel is amazing. I have stayed here multiple times and it still amazes me each time. When you walk inside it doesn’t even look real. The lobbies are like an inside garden. You have to stay here at least once on your visit to Nashville. It is pricey but worth it at least one time in Music City.

The Grand Ole Opry

This is a where country music comes to life on a stage. It is an amazing performance and this is the heart of Nashville. The tickets to this are a reasonable price and fun for the whole family. I loved getting to experience The Grand Ole Opry show and it is a true southern and country experience you won’t want to miss.

Goat Yoga
