Quebec City is the heart of French Canada.🇨🇦Quebec City is located in the Quebec Province in Canada. Quebec City has a French speaking culture, it has rich history, and of course….charm✨

It is also the only remaining walled city north of Mexico.

We flew from Atlanta to Montreal and had a layover. Then we flew from Montreal to Quebec City on Air Canada.

We stayed at the Le Dauphin in Quebec.

While we were in Canada of course we had to try poutine. So we ventured near our hotel to this fast food chain called Ashton. They are famous for their poutine. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. I had tried poutine one other time at the Calgary Stampede. This was my 2nd time giving it a go and I loved it again!

Our first full day in the historical city we decided to do a hop on hop off tour. It was good because it started raining mid-way through. We got to learn about the rich history and ride through and see the Plains of Abraham on the bus. These were sites of major battles.

The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is a timeless hotel that sits with such beauty and elegance in Quebec City. It is located near the boardwalk where you can walk and take in the views of the St. Lawrence River and the hotel. There is also a funicular located here that you can ride down to Quartier Petit-Champlain (a street with shopping). My mom and I rode this and it was such a quaint experience to try while you’re there.

Restaurants

Pub St. Patrick

I 100% recommend eating here because of the location and aesthetic. It is an adorable pub with great food.

Mary’s Popcorn Shop

We got this both days while we were touring Old Quebec City. This popcorn is to die for. It is amazing and a must eat.

Starbucks at the Fairmont

Le Château Frontenac

This is located inside the hotel and we got our drink to go and sat out on the terrace and enjoyed the views of the boardwalk.

Nacho Pub

This restaurant we sat outside and enjoyed the scenery of the old city. This restaurant is in the heart of Old Quebec, in the Petit Champlain district. It is situated right on the staircase area.

McDonald’s

Of course we have to try McDonald’s in a different country. We ate at one close to our hotel.

Le Petit Champlain

This was one of my favorite areas in Old Quebec City. They have preserved history on every corner of the city. Every stone here has a story to tell and this street comes alive with shops and restaurants. I loved wandering these streets for 2 days.

I stopped in a shop called Iris Galerie. This shop takes a picture of your eyes and lets you turn it into art. They take picture of both eyes, but I chose my right eye to turn into art. This was the coolest experience and the best souvenir to take back with me.

Rue Cul-De- Sac

If you are looking for the most iconic pictures in the city, this is the spot. It is truly a small spot and you don’t want to miss it. You get majestic views of the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. There are umbrellas lining the street for the best photo op. The cobblestone streets adds the best aesthetic to your pictures.

Basilica Cathedral Notre Dame de Quebec

The Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral is stunning. You must go inside. It is so intricate, quiet, and beautiful.

After touring Quebec City in all its history, we decided to take the train (VIA Rail Canada) to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

We stayed in Montreal the rest of the trip and attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix Du Canada at the CIRCUIT GILLES-VILLENEUVE.
