We ventured into the cultural wonders of Vienna on our trip. Wien is the German word for Vienna. 🇦🇹
We spent 2 full days in Vienna and had a half day here also when our flight came in that morning. We did day trips to:
Hallstatt, Austria🇦🇹
Budapest, Hungary🇭🇺
Bratislava, Slovakia🇸🇰
We went by train on the day trips and purchased the train tickets online and through the Omio app.
Airline✈️
We flew on United & Austrian Airlines to Vienna.
Hotel🏩
We stayed at the Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna. This hotel was a great location and walking distance to landmarks and food. It was a short Uber ride to the Vienna HBF Central Train Station. The hotel was spacious, clean, fancy, and the staff was very friendly.
Food🍴
McDonald’s
Of course we had to go to the fancy McDonalds in Vienna. It had fresh food options and waffle fries with an amazing flavor. It was spacious and clean.

Five Guys:
We ate here in the heart of Vienna. This was walking distance to The Austrian National Library, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, shopping area, and Café Central. This is one of my favorite food chains with a plethora of food and fresh hamburgers.
Café Central:
This is an iconic cafe that serves Viennese cuisine, coffee, desserts, and pastries. You have to wait in a line to get in, but it is worth it because it moves fast and the views of immaculate and like a fairy tale inside. I got a coffee, dessert and tried their famous Almdudler drink here. That is their herbal lemonade they are famous for.

Chilai:
This was a place to get breakfast and fresh eggs. It was walking distance from our hotel.
Pizzeria Pozzuoli:
We ate dinner here and it had amazing pizza. The pizzas were large and delicious. It was a quaint and cozy restaurant. It was walking distance from our hotel.
Schlosscafé im Oberen Belvedere:
This cafe is inside the Belvedere Palace. I was truly getting coffee in a palace in Europe. It was a fairy tale. They present the coffee so elegantly and the atmosphere is so stunning.

The Rollercoaster Restaurant:
This is located inside the Prater amusement park. This restaurant was so unique and vibrant. You order your food and it brings it out to you on a roller coaster. Our drinks and hamburgers were brought down to us on a rollercoaster right in front of us. This was an interactive restaurant to go to while we visited the amusement park.

Belvedere Palace👑
The Belvedere is a museum in Vienna. It has a beautiful landscape and gardens. It makes you feel like you are on the set of Bridgerton when you walk the grounds of the palace. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape. We bought tickets to tour the palace and it was truly remarkable. The inside is a museum and so elegant. I architecture is something to take in. We also got a coffee at the Schlosscafé im Oberen Belvedere. This cafe is inside the Belvedere Palace. I was truly getting coffee in a palace in Europe. It was a fairy tale. They present the coffee so elegantly and the atmosphere is so stunning. We got this coffee before we toured the museum. We purchased our tickets online and then went into the museum at our designated time.

Schönbrunn Palace
Easter Market🐣🐰
We went to a Viennese Easter Market also called Ostermarkt. This Easter Market was in front of the Schönbrunn Palace. They had many vendors set up selling hand-crafted unique items. I purchased a candle, Easter egg ornament, ring, and got some candy coated peanuts. They took cash and card at the market. It was decorated with the Easter theme and was truly an experience. We did not tour the palace, just the grounds with the Easter Market. This is a must if you visit Vienna in the spring. This was my first ever Viennese Easter Market.

Prater Amusement Park🎢
Admission to the Wurstelprater is free of charge. After we ate at the Rollercoaster Restaurant, we went to ride some rides at the Prater amusement park. You paid each ride you went on from $4-5 each. Some rides were cash only, but some would take your card. The rides and rollercoasters were very unique and fun.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral⛪️
This was a beautiful sight to see. It is right in the middle of the shopping, close to Café Central, and Austrian National Library. We didn’t go inside, but we admired the beauty and architecture from the outside.

The Austrian National Library📚
Österreichische Nationalbibliothek also known as the Austrian National Library is the country’s largest library. It was stunning! We went inside this library and it was breathtaking. This is a must to visit and it was 11 Euros to enter. Be sure to take in every detail this library has to offer. It is truly a unique experience. I’ve never seen so many old books in one place.
